In this episode of The Effortless Expansion Podcast, I share my three-step process for creating a life that you're obsessed with. This may sound daunting, but I assure you it's much easier than you think.

I can wholeheartedly say that I am obsessed with my life so trust me when I tell you that first of all, it's also possible for you, and second, taking inspired action toward your goals and desires is 100x more effective than waiting for things to happen to you.

Creating a life that you're obsessed with is something that everyone dreams about.

But let's be real, it can seem overwhelming at first.

Where do you start? What steps do you need to take?

How do you even know what you want?

The good news is that it's totally possible, and it doesn't have to be as complicated as you might think.

Here are three steps you can take to start creating a life that you're absolutely obsessed with.

Step 1: Get clear on what you want

The first step in creating a life you're obsessed with is getting crystal clear on what you actually want. This might seem obvious, but we often go through life without taking the time to think about what WE want. We're too busy following someone else's script or doing what we think we should be doing. We are worried about Sally down the street, what our mom would want, what our partner wants, etc.

Take some time to really think about what YOU want your life to look like.

What kind of work do you want to do?

Where do you want to live?

What kind of relationships do you want to have?

What does your dream body look like?

Don't be afraid to dream big here.

Step 2: Omit anything that doesn't serve you or light you up

The next step is to start letting go of anything that doesn't serve you or light you up. This might mean getting rid of physical clutter in your life, but it could also mean letting go of toxic relationships, negative thought patterns, or quitting a job that drains you.

It can be difficult to let go of things that are comfortable or familiar, but remember that you're creating a life you're obsessed with. And that means being willing to make some tough choices and let go of things that are holding you back.

Get rid of clothes in your closet that don’t fit or are out of style.

Clean out your pantry or junk drawers.

These small actions may not seem like they will make much of a difference but trust me it does– it creates momentum.

Step 3: Take small action steps every single day

Creating a life you're obsessed with is a process, and it won't happen overnight. But taking small action steps every day will help you get closer to where you want to be.

This might mean setting aside time every day to work towards your goals, or it could mean practicing self-care and prioritizing your own well-being. Whatever it is, make sure you're taking small, consistent steps toward the life you want.

It's not enough to just have a vision of what you want - you have to take consistent action to make it a reality. 

Break down bigger goals into manageable steps, and hold yourself accountable to take action. It's about staying motivated and committed, even when things get tough.

If you’re like me and when you get obsessed with something you want to go ALL IN, please refrain. Trust me.

It can create a self-sabotage loop if you try to go too hard too fast.

It’d be like deciding you want to take up running and attempting to run 10 miles a day.

You don’t have to be a fitness expert to know that would be a terrible idea and will ultimately lead to burnout or even injury.

Like the fables tell us, slow and steady wins the race.

Momentum and consistency go hand in hand.

Bonus Step: Stop comparing yourself to others

It's important to remember that your journey is your own.

It can be tempting to compare yourself to others or feel like you're not making progress fast enough. But remember that everyone's path is different, their obstacles are different and the point is to create the life you want on your own terms.

So there you have it, three steps (plus a bonus step) for creating a life you're obsessed with. Remember, no one is going to do this for you. It's up to you to take action and start building the life you truly want.
